Jesus is the most important person who ever lived. He is adored by more than two billion men, women and children in the world today. Yet in many ways, his name is still controversial, subversive, maligned or flat-out rejected by many.

For those who have been gripped by His redemptive love, Jesus is a sweet name. To others, his name is a painful reminder of loss, tragedy, failure and rejection.

Jesus identifies Himself with the broken-hearted, the downcast, despairing and sinful. That’s us. The Bible tells us that Jesus Himself paid the penalty for our sin which was required by a righteous God, so that we could be made completely righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21). By this act, Jesus has made a way for us to know God and to be a part of His family.

Through no good work, merit, or effort of our own, we were purchased, adopted, redeemed, and saved by our Great God and King, Jesus Christ.

He is our strong Redeemer!
